Jake Shears
JAKE SHEARS is the lead singer of the multi platinum-selling, Grammy-nominated, Brit award-winning glam rock band SCISSOR SISTERS. In 2018 he joined the cast of Kinky Boots on Broadway in the lead role as Charlie Price, and released his debut book and memoir Boys Keep Swinging. Later that year Jake Shears released his eponymous debut solo album to critical acclaim, followed by tours in the UK and US, and Australia with Kylie Minogue. His 2020 release "Meltdown" was written on the hottest day of the summer in New York City as a tribute to one of the biggest queer music pioneers, Sylvester, and is a hint of the sinister dystopian dance pop to come.
