Comedian, actor, writer, and DJ. Born in New York City and raised in Texas, Devan “DB” Barton started learning music production in college at the University of North Texas, but eventually got into DJing shortly after moving back to the East Coast. He has shared the stage with names such as Diplo, Pitbull, Trey Songz, The Clipse, Ghostface Killah, Ryan Leslie, Sean Kingston, T-Pain, B.o.B; and he’s even co-hosted a Jay-Z Myspace secret show.
DB has been an associate producer for Sway in the Morning on Shade 45/Sirius XM since 2012. He’s interviewed guests such as Dave Chappelle, Michael B. Jordan, Ryan Reynolds, Don Cheadle, Chris Pratt, Spike Lee, Justice (DJ duo), Shia LaBeouf, and many others. In addition, he’s done voice-over work and parodies for the Howard Stern show.
A huge film fan, he’s a member of the Critic’s Choice Association, and frequently attends film festivals, movie premieres, and press junkets. He also does a weekly segment called “The Movie Junkie with DB,” where he discusses the weekend box office, new releases, movie news, and more.
