Nicole Sweeney intro in radio began at Temple University where she studied Broadcasting Communications & Mass Media. The born and bred New Yorker grew her passion for jazz while working at the legendary jazz station WRTI in Philadelphia. She then went on to work in jazz radio at WCLK in Atlanta and WBGO in Newark Known to some as “the Velvet Voice,” Nicole considers herself a lover and perpetual student of where jazz has been and where the music is going. Mark Ruffin has spent his entire adult life bringing jazz to the people. He's a two-time Emmy Award-winning broadcaster who’s written over 600 magazine articles on the music. Hear him expound on Art Blakey, Charlie Parker, Thelonious Monk and more.

Greg Bryant is a longtime curator of jazz as a broadcaster, writer, and musician. His career began while still in high school in Nashville, Tennessee. At 14, Greg hosted a weekly radio show on Fisk University's WFSK-FM. He moved on to WMOT-FM (Middle Tennessee State University) and WNUR-FM (Northwestern University), his respective undergrad and graduate alma maters. Greg won the 2022 Jazz Journalists Association “Podcast of the Year” for “Jazz United,” which he co-hosted with acclaimed critic Nate Chinen. He also hosted the overnight show “Jazz After Hours” on the renowned jazz station WBGO in Newark before joining Real Jazz, Sirius XM. He is also an accomplished working bassist touring and performing locally and abroad. Greg’s wife is jazz singer Dara Tucker. The SF Jazz Collective have emerged as one of the most influential 21st century bands in jazz today. Operating from their home base at the SF Jazz Center, the first free standing stucture built just for jazz, they have toured the workd and recorded more than a dozen albums. Esteemed producer/composer and bassist Marcus Miller joins Real Jazz’ Grammy winning line-up of hosts (Wynton Marsalis & Dee Dee Bridgewater are the others) with his new two-hour program Miller Time. Like the all-around musician he is, Miller serves up a 360 degree musical sample of jazz from the roots to the future, bebop to hip-hop, blues to fusion, old-time swing to new jack swing and anything in between. This week he features jazz with a touch of soul.
